WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS AT OUR 'MEET AND GREET'

On June 27, GNHA Hiking Club hosted a New Member “Meet & Greet.”  About 20 members who have joined the hiking club within the last 6 months came out to Grateful Brew in Greenville, where they enjoyed pizza, snacks, and beverages with a few of our hike leaders.  New members were able to connect with other members and learn about our hiking club in a relaxed social setting.  This was a fun event!

More importantly, it was a great opportunity for these new members to find out about the kinds of hikes we offer as a club and what to expect on a GNHA hike.  Current members who lead hikes regularly were able to answer specific questions and share tips about our hike rating system and how to know what level of hikes you can handle.  Our club offers a wide range of hikes available at all levels, primarily on weekends and Wednesdays.  We also have several social events for club members throughout the year.  The new members were glad to hear about upcoming events and hike schedule - we hope to see all these folks getting really active in the club over the next months.
